Faster, easier, less messy and more accurate (0.1 degree BRIX) than optical refractomers.

This is a Japanese refractometer made purely of metal. It is not known whether they used the BRIX scale, but was likely used for a variety of purposes - see below.
For a history of refactory technology, see here. It goes back 4000 years.

Degrees Brix is a measure of the dissolved solids in a liquid, based on its specific gravity, and is commonly used to measure dissolved sugar content of a solution. One degree Brix is 1 gram of sucrose in 100 grams of solution and represents the strength of the solution as percentage by mass. If the solution contains dissolved solids other than pure sucrose, then the °Bx only approximates the dissolved solid content. *For example, when one adds equal amounts of salt and sugar to equal amounts of water, the degrees Brix of the salt solution rises faster than the sugar solution, because it is denser. * The bold italics is what I added to Wiki in 2018, as they had steadfastly refused to acknolwedge that BRIX measures all dissolved nutrients in a disolved solution. Until then, Wiki insisted that BRIX was a measure of sugars only!

Both Optical and Digital refractomers require you to extract liquids, juices and sap from the produce or other.
Plastic nosed pliers make it easy to squeeze juices out of fruit or veggies.

Garlic crushers can be used for more difficult tasks, e.g. for harder to extract sap juices.

We are a small company with lots of knowledge and experience in IT.
Besides 20 years of chem-free, nutrient dense farming, we have some some 40 years experience in manufacturing and supply chain optimization (SCO).
Although FindGoodFood is a NFP, NutriBalance is not. We need to constantly fund our growing component supply chains from USA and China,
When you upgrade to a Nx NDI spectrometer and beyond (chem (Nxi) and GMO detection (Nxii), 50% of what you pay now will be deducted from the upgrade.
For example, if you buy an NutriMeter I now for $40, $20 will be deducted from the Nx price.
FGF* uses NutriMeters (= BRIX meters) as a way of you checking you are getting the quality ('poor', 'average', 'good' or 'excellent) that you have paid for.
Purchasing a Nutrimeter, and/or joining FGF, you will then get access via FGF to the 450 Variety Readings and Ratings collected since 2010, of fruit and veggie varieties available in ANZ.
* FGF had some 103 000 Providores listed, categorised and mapped around Australia, before COVID took it down. Now rebuilding with latest mobile technologies.
