We use the National Health and Medical Research Councils' recommendations on your / your household's Recommended Nutritional Intake (RNI) based on age, sex, height, weight and physical activity, which can be adjusted according to your Nutritionists advice.
We use Food Standards ANZ (FSANZ) food data to calculate your and/or your family's total nutrient intakes, based on the 'average' BRIX reading and rating .
The NutriScale system (as above) was first patented in 2008, but we found it too tedious to record everything we ate or drank, despite the small mobile scale linked to your Mobile phone for fast and accurate recordings anywhere at any time!
Our design principles have always being fast and easy, 2-3 sec scan to identify the food item, and 2-3 secs to weigh it. And computers make everything so fast and easy, if well designed and operate efficiently.
So, in 2018, we developed the periodic "Spot Check" approach in FindGoodFood, as and when your and/or your households' circumstances changed.
