Industrially grown produce is
- produced from ever decreasing soil qualities (CSIRO), with fertilizers extracting nutrients from the soil.
- it is picked too early, to travel the many food miles to the centralised markets, and then out to the stores.
- Hence low in nutrient density (taste and food value).
- In past 3 years, BRIX and NDI's (nutrient density indices) have been doubled by GMO, by increasing the sugar content (according to food scientists).
- Red apples are now so sweet, it is difficult to taste the differences between varieties.
